Donna Belisle

Donna has been involved in theatre and music her whole life. From growing up a Baptist preacher’s daughter and singing in church to teaching/directing in public schools. She grew up in the Carolina’s and landed in the Lakeway area by marriage. She now teaches at Jefferson Middle School in Jefferson City, TN, where she has taught for nine years.

She majored in theatre at Francis Marion University, where she enjoyed performing in twelve main stage productions.  After a twenty year hiatus from the stage, due to fulltime motherhood and returning to school to become a teacher, she was discovered by Kathy Jones‐Terry for Encore’s production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore. She has since played multiple roles in Encore productions on and off the stage. Her skills and talents go beyond the stage to include: setdesign, set dressing, set and prop specialty painting, prop fabrication, stage make‐up, costuming, and directing.

 

Credits include:  Love, Loss, and What I Wore, A Christmas Carol, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,  Ring Around the Moon, Royal Gambit, Noise Off, Agnes of God, Come Blow Your Horn, Hold Me!,  Working, South Pacific, Our Town, and many more. 


 She received her undergrad degree from Carson Newman University, her Masters from Lincoln Memorial University, and is currently working on her doctoral degree.
