Meet The Cast & TEAM

Brant Adams (Crow, Munchkin, Monkey, Winkie, Emerald City Ensemble) - Brant is ready to once again be back on stage at Encore Theatrical! You could last catch Brant in Encore’s The Bridges of Madison County (Michael). When not on stage, you can find Brant enjoying his senior year at Jefferson County High School. He wishes to thank his fellow cast members and the outstanding production team for making this “wonderful” show possible!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Emma Andrews (Munchkin, Poppy, Monkey) - Emma is proud to be back on stage in her 11th Encore production! You may have last seen her in other shows across Morristown as Sharpay Evans in High School Musical, Sandy in Grease, or in the ensemble of Mary Poppins. Along with performing, she is also a member of Encore’s Junior Company. This show has been a great experience, from learning to soar as a flying monkey to managing the show’s true star, Toto. Zathrus Beeler (Crow, Munchkin, Nikko, Emerald City Ensemble) - Zathrus Beeler will be flying high as the main flying Monkey Nikko. Zathrus is in his last year of study at Walter State for a performing arts major in musical theater. Zathrus is "blessed" to say this is his second Encore production and beyond excited to premiere this show.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Karen Bible (Emerald City Ensemble) - Karen Bible is excited to be making her debut with Encore.  She is an art teacher at Jefferson County High School.  Karen has been in the New Market Baptist Church Choir for over twenty years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lauren Bible (Munchkin) - Lauren Bible is delighted to making her debut with Encore.  She has been in several plays such as Harriet Pohter, the Musical, A Christmas Carol, and Back to the Cross.  She has also modeled with Clair Queisser Runway Events. She plays Keyboard for the Youth Praise Band at New Market Baptist Church. Lauren is a student at Jefferson County High School.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chloē Bolling (Munchkin) - Chloē is 15 years old and is currently a sophomore at Morristown West High School and a member of the Advanced Choir. She is an active member of Captive Free Ministries. This is Chloē's first ever show with Encore Theatrical Company, although, you may have seen her in other shows including High School Musical as Gabriella Montez, or Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing as Vicky. She would like to thank her friends and family for coming to see the show, and her directors and cast for working so hard! Chloē is elated to be a part of this show and cannot wait for everyone to embark in such a fun, nostalgic, and wonderful show!

 

 

 

 

Caroline Brady (Munchkin) - Caroline is extremely excited and thankful to be in her second Encore production!  She is in 4th grade at Alpha Elementary and participates in the Bulldog Beat Choir.   Earlier this year, she was in Peter Pan Jr., and attended Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta. In her spare time, she likes to play the piano, read, dance, and play basketball.  She would like to thank her family for their support and give a shout-out to Micah-Shane, Mary Wallen, Melanie Coffey, the cast, and other wonderful crew members who helped put this show together. She hopes you enjoy Wizard of Oz!

 

 

 

 

Larry Bunton (Uncle Henry, Emerald City Guard) - Larry Bunton last appeared on the ETC stage in The City of Conversation. He performed at the Johnson City Community Theatre in Glasgow Theatre's production of The Normal Heart and two shows with the Greeneville Theatre Guild: Dearly Departed and Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. At Tusculum College, Larry performed in one of The 5x10 Plays, a series of 1 acts written by students. He is a cast member of The Jonesborough Yarn Exchange Radio Hour (broadcast on WETS) and just finished a run at JCCT of Breaking the Rock: a legendary tale of the escape from Alcatraz.

 

 

 

Sophia Cardone (Munchkin, Poppy, Jitterbug) - Sophia is so excited to be in this production of the Wizard of Oz. She is a Senior at Morristown West High School and dances at Dance Elite, her second home. She was most recently in Encore's Middletown and will soon be in Into the Woods Jr. She would like to thank everyone she has ever called her mom because that is what she calls everyone she loves.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Macy Conklin (Munchkin) - Macy is extremely excited to be in an encore production once again. It has been quite a few years since she was last on stage. Macy is currently in the 8th Grade at East Ridge middle school where she participates in choir and the Junior Beta Club. Ever since she was little she has had a passion for singing. She also enjoys playing basketball on her rec league team, The Dream. Macy would like to thank her mom for all the hard work she puts in to make sure Macy gets to every rehearsal. She would also like to thank her dad for encouraging her to do what she loves. Macy is so grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful show. She hopes you are as excited as she is, and she hopes that you enjoy the show.

 

 

Joyce Cotner (Tree, Winkie, Emerald City Ensemble) This is Joyce’s 2nd Encore production. Joyce was thespian in the Meade High School Drama Club (Ft. Meade Maryland) where she performed in Bye, Bye Birdie and A Tale Tell Heart. She later scored roles in What in the Hell Do You Want (Carmonsense Productions), Let Freedom Ring (Optasia Productiions) & Single Ladies (Sche’ Productions). Joyce has appeared in several episodes of TV1’s Fatal Attraction (Jupiter Entertainment) and has a cameo appearance in the feature movie Road Less Traveled (2017 starring Lauren Alaina). Joyce is most honored to be part of Micah Shane Brewers’ finale production with Encore. Thank you so much, MSB, for believing in me enough to become part of such a phenomenal team of actors, musicians and those behind the scenes who make Encore Theatrical Company possible.

 

 

Jenni Marie Davis (Munchkin) - Jenni Marie is 8 years old and a 3rd grader at All Saints Episcopal School.  This is her first Encore performance and she is super excited to be in the production.  Jenni Marie enjoys anything outdoors, her American Girl dolls, absolutely loves to sing and dance and is a member of the basketball team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joshua Davis (Lion) - Josh is an Encore company member who has been involved on and offstage with Encore for nearly ten years. He is proud to be a 7th grade ELA teacher at Meadowview Middle School. This show in particular holds a special place in Josh’s heart, as he has fond memories of directing the show for Newport Theatre Guild in 2010. He is very excited to be sharing this journey for the second time with dear friends Tyler McDaniel and Jodi Moore (Woo!). Special love and thanks goes out to his incredible wife, Becky, and their beautiful baby girl, Emma, for letting him be away from home for rehearsals. To Emma: May all your dreams come true, even if they lie somewhere over the rainbow – love, from Daddy.

 

 

 

 

Max Davis (Munchkin) - Max is 12 years old and a 7th grade honor student at All Saints Episcopal School.  He has been doing theater for a few years and enjoys it very much.  He has been in a couple school plays and is very active doing skits with "Kids Stuff" at church.  This is his 2nd Encore performance and he is very excited to be in this production.  He enjoys reading and gaming and is a member of the swim team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amy Eanes (Tree, Witch Double, Winkie, Emerald City Ensemble) – Amy was last seen on stage as Marge in The Bridges of Madison County.  She has appeared in many Encore productions including Shrek: The Musical! (Mama Bear), Miracle on 34th Street (Shellhammer), and The Full Monty (Pam Lukowski). She also enjoys the behind the scenes action and has served as Stage Manager for numerous shows, including Ragtime, Les Misérables, Legally Blonde, and Mary Poppins. She also serves as an Encore Company member. “I am excited to help bring this magical production to life. Enjoy the show!”

 

 

 

 

Allison East (Poppy, Jitterbug, Winkie, Emerald City Ensemble, Dance Captain) - As an Encore company member, Allison is often onstage and behind the scenes for productions. Most recently, she was onstage as Miss Lark in Mary Poppins last Christmas, and she was the ASM for Middletown and choreographer for Rocky Horror Show this fall. She would like to thank MSB for the opportunity to be part of this fun production. Enjoy the show!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Makenzie Emmert (Dorothy) - Makenzie cannot be more grateful to fill the iconic ruby slippers in this timeless show! In the Lakeway area, she has most recently appeared in Mary Poppins, Ragtime, and Grease (Rizzo). She has also acquired numerous credits from theatre companies nationwide (National Youth Theatre, Barter Theatre, Theater Bristol…) where she has participated in shows such as Godspell (Makenzie), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Lucy), Peter Pan, and Footloose (Wendy Jo). Makenzie also sings in choirs at Walters State, where she is finishing her fourth semester as a dual enrollment student. “Many thanks to Micah-Shane Brewer, Laura Ritter, and my loving family for encouraging me to follow my yellow brick road!”

 

 

 

Noel Emmert (Toto) - The Wizard of Oz marks Noel’s Encore debut, and she is beyond excited! Considering the countless amounts of treats, snuggles, and kisses she receives from her fellow cast members, it is safe to say that she is enjoys being in the theater! Sharing the stage with her owner Makenzie is definitely a special experience as well. Some of her offstage hobbies include chasing Swiffers, napping in the sun, stealing bones when no one is looking, and barking at the doorbell. If she could thank Makenzie, Micah-Shane, and all of her new friends for this opportunity, we're sure she would! "

 

 

 

 

Zoe Flenniken (Munchkin, Monkey, Emerald City Ensemble) - Zoe is very excited to be a part of The Wizard of Oz. She's been in a couple of Walters State productions, but this is her first in an encore production. She has been in roles such as Betty in The Crucible and Ensemble in Grease. She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she enjoyed being a part of it!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rebekah Frith (Munchkin, Poppy, Jitterbug, Emerald City Ensemble) - Rebekah is studying theater at WSCC. She was last seen as Eileen in WSCC's production of Moon Over Buffalo. Her prior theater experiences include WSCC's Greece, as well as ETC's Ragtime, Follies, and Spamalot. While also onstage, she has also worked behind the scenes in Mary Poppins, and A Christmas Carol, The Musical. She would like to thank Micah-Shane for giving her this opportunity, and for her mother and Cole for loving and supporting her.

 

 

 

 

 

Jordan Graham – (Munchkin, Poppy, Emerald City Ensemble) - Jordan is happy to make her Encore premier in The Wizard of Oz. She has appeared in community theatre productions in the Knoxville area. Recent credits include Anything Goes with the Tennessee Valley Players, Into the Woods with Foothills Community Players, and Cinderella at the Oak Ridge Playhouse. Jordan is a recent graduate of Pellissippi State Community College with her degree in Communication Graphics Technology. She thanks her family and her friends for their continued support. 

 

 

 

 

 

Matthew Graham (Munchkin, Winkie, Emerald City Ensemble)) - is beyond thrilled to be making his debut at Encore! Some of Matthew’s previous roles include Wally in 1940’s Radio Hour at the Oak Ridge Playhouse, and Roscoe Dexter in Singin’ in the Rain with Foothills Community Players. A Freshman at Roane State Community College studying Biology, he enjoys learning new things from all of the amazing people he knows. Matthew would like to thank everybody who has helped and encouraged him to push his comfort zone try new things, and a special thanks to his friends and family for always supporting him in whatever he does.

 

 

 

Dylan Henry (Winkie, Emerald City Ensemble) - Reprising his star role as "Ensemble," Dylan is extremely happy to join Encore for another enjoyable production. You may have seen him in Walter State's Grease or in Encore's Ragtime as "Ensemble." Dylan hopes you have a great time and enjoy a classic!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Will Holt (Munchkin) – Will is excited to be back on stage for his second Encore Production. He was previously onstage as Randy in The Christmas Story. He is a Fifth Grader at Manley Elementary, attends Witt Baptist Church and sings in the Lakeway Children’s Choir.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kathy Jones-Terry (Wicked Witch of the West) - This “woman with many names” has often played a “witchy woman” on stage as well as off: Glinda the Good Witch way back in the 80s, hostess or guest of many Witches’ Balls, Wicked Witch of the Court House (the second), a not-so-wicked stepmother, the wickedly winsome Miss Hannigan, as well as the wickedly ambitious Lady MacBeth. However, she is especially excited to be playing this iconic role, mainly because she actually gets to fly!! So to all of you who are in the audience, “I’ll be watching you, my pretties!!” And to her fellow Witches of Waccamaw, “Nee-bah, nee-bah, oon mah hoose – I’m a witch!!!!”  <Here insert witchy cackle!>

 

 

 

 

Dorrah Kate Kelly (Munchkin) - Dorrah Kate is ten years old and in the Fifth Grade at John Hay Elementary School where she is a member of the Beta club, 4-H, and plays percussion in the band.  Her hobbies include reading, music, theatre, piano, art, and soccer.  She has performed with the Lakeway Children's Choir and the FUMC Children's choir and bell choir.  She has also been in multiple theatrical productions including annual Old Fashioned Christmas plays at FUMC, Fine Arts products at FUMC and Rose Center, and was the title character in Encore's spring camp production of The Nightingale. 

 

 

 

 

 

Kerra Lovell (Munchkin) – Kerra is 13 years old. She is currently in the 8th Grade and enjoys singing, art and spending time with friends and family. She and her Mom, Dad and brother enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, biking and hiking. She personally enjoys theatre and acting in general.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nancy Hope Major (Aunt Em) – Nancy Hope states starting with an audition, to getting cast, to rehearsal, to getting production in front of an audience, this is always great when Micah-Shane is the director - so talented.  Fellow actors are a plus in so many ways. Oh yes, our stage manager, Mary Wallen, is awesome as well as all the behind the scenes people.  Personally, I do love being on stage but you, audience, are an important part also. Steven McCoy (Tin Man/Hickory) - Steven is a 20 year old musical theatre student who has had the pleasure of performing in several shows with Encore Theatrical Company. He most recently appeared in Encore’s Ragtime (Ensemble), Walter’s State’s Grease (Roger), as well as Carson-Newman University’s Noises Off (Garry/Roger). He wishes to thank the production team and everyone who brought this wonderful, timeless show onto its feet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tyler McDaniel (Scarecrow) - Tyler is so thrilled to be going down the yellow brick road again! This is his 3rd time doing The Wizard of Oz, and all three times he has been a different character. He was a Lollipop Kid in pre-school here at WSCC, The Cowardly Lion in Newport Theatre Guild’s 2010 production alongside his best friend Josh Davis as the Tin Man, and now he is Scarecrow. The really enjoyable part about being this new character is the challenge of doing something different. What makes this time in Wizard of Oz extra special is that he, yet again, gets to take this journey alongside his best friend Josh. Only now, HE is the cowardly one. Tyler is a board member with The Theatre Guild. This is his second show with Encore, and he is thrilled to be with familiar faces and new friends. He wants to thank his family for all their support and God for all he has given him. Now sit back, relax, and come with us…to the Emerald City. We’ll see you in Oz folks!

 

Anna McLane (Munchkin) – Anna is excited to join The Wizard of Oz cast! Anna lives in Dandridge with her grandparents who homeschool her. She is in sixth grade and her favorite subjects are Math, History, Art and Music. Anna was selected for The Gwinnet County Elementary Honor Choir, in Georgia, in 5th grade. She also attended the Encore Broadway Boot Camp this year! Anna enjoys 4-H, Reading, Singing, Crafts and Genealogy. She would like to thank her Grandmother for bringing her to rehearsals. She also thanks her whole family for their love and support! Anna is dedicating her performance to her Grandma Beverly who recently passed and loved The Wizard of Oz.

 

 

 

Caleb Mills (Munchkin) – Caleb is 15 years old. He lives in Grainger County, TN with his grandmother. Caleb is in the 10th grade and attends Grainger High School. He has always loved theatre, art, and playing piano. This is Caleb’s very first play, and he’s very excited to be a part in this production of The Wizard of Oz! He hopes to be cast in more plays in the future. He thanks Encore very much for this opportunity!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jodi Moore (Emerald City Ensemble) - Jodi Moore is no stranger to the stage. She began as a child appearing in productions for The Newport Theater Guild such as Oliver and Harvey. She would later grow her stage presence to include onstage and backstage in plays and musicals along with performing belly dancing and singing in the Shahirizod Dance Troupe. A few of her favorite roles were in NTG’s production of Wizard of Oz and in Encore’s production of Sound of Music. She is very delighted and honored to be part of Micah Shane’s last production with Encore. She would like to thank her Husband, Justin, for his patience with her passion for stage in all varieties of performance. 

 

 

 

Amy Neill (Glinda) - Amy Neill is very excited to be in her second Encore production. She was Mrs. Banks in last year's Mary Poppins, and had such a wonderful experience she's back for another show. She is charmed to be married to Sam Neill with two wonderful boys: Charlie and Jake.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tara Oglesby (Munchkin, Poppy, Jitterbug) - Tara is so excited to be in her seventh Encore production. She was last seen as Princess Tiger Lily in Peter Pan Jr. and Tammy in Hairspray Jr., along with one of the crazy kids from Rydell High in WSCC's Grease! Upcoming, Tara will be traveling with Encore's production of Into the Woods Jr., where she will be playing Rapunzel! She is a junior at Carter High School, where she is a 4.0 student. Also, she is a gracious member of Youth Leadership Knoxville! Tara is a principle dancer at Dance Elite Morristown, and is on the Elite Competition team. Tara has danced for the majority of her life, and has performed at many places, including Walt Disney World and Country Tonight. Tara gives a shout out to Micah-Shane, Mary, James, Laura, and Dr. Perry for giving her this great opportunity! She offers the cast and crew many broken legs and hopes you enjoy your journey through Oz! 

 

 

Shivam Patel (Crow, Munchkin, Monkey, Winkie, Emerald City Ensemble) - Shivam is excited to be in his second musical. After last year's performance in Encore's MARY POPPINS, he's happy to be able to do theatre once again. Shivam is a Senior at East High School and plans to attend Belmont University for Biochemistry with a minor in music composition. "I'm Thankful for a chance to be working with such an amazing cast and crew".

 

 

 

 

 

 

Isabella Picardi (Munchkin) - Isabella is 10 years old and she is a 5th grader at West Elementary. She is a member of 4-H, Beta Club, FCA, Choir, and Abundant Life Baptist Church praise team. She is looking forward to attending Walter State's Talented and Gifted Program in 2018. She loves theatre and is so thankful for this opportunity with Encore Theatrical Company! Kelli Sexton (Munchkin, Jitterbug, Emerald City Ensemble) - Kelli is ecstatic to be a part of bringing such a classic to life! Favorite credits include Grease (Jan), Mary Poppins, Seussical Jr. (Sour Kangaroo), and The Lion King Jr. (Shenzi). She hopes you enjoy the show! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stephen Smith (Professor Marvel, Wizard of Oz) - Stephen is excited to be included in this wonderful story that he has loved from childhood.  A late-comer to theatre, he has had the good fortune to be involved in several productions over the last four years such as A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit), Mary Poppins (Park Keeper), and most recently as Henry Ford in Encore Theatrical’s production of Ragtime. He would like to thank his wife, son, daughter and son-in-law for their support, inspiration and encouragement, and the cast and management of this production for their talents and vision in bringing this show to the stage.

 

 

 

Savannah Spangler (Munchkin) - Savannah is super excited to be in Wizard of Oz! Savannah is in the 9th Grade at Sevier County High School. She is involved in her school Drama program, a member of band playing oboe and marching with the color guard. She is also a member of the National Beta Club. This will be her third Encore production. She was seen in Encore’s production of Peter Pan, Jr. as Nibs, a lost boy, and in Hairspray Jr., as Lou Ann. She is looking forward to preforming with Encore’s Young Stars and competing at JTF in Atlanta as Little Red Ridinghood in the upcoming performance of Into the Woods, Jr. She wants to thank her family for supporting her and everyone who has helped her get to where she is today.

 

 

 

Ben Stacy (Munchkin) - Ben is excited to join the cast of Wizard of Oz, as a Munchkin in the Lollipop Guild. This is his debut performance on stage. Ben is a 5th grader at Russellville Intermediate School. When he is not on stage, Ben enjoys playing Saxophone in the school band, playing soccer, and attempting to beat his Dad in golf. Ben would like to thank Encore Theatrical for giving him this opportunity to explore the world of theater. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Taylor Talley (Munchkin, Winkie General, Emerald City Ensemble) - This is Taylor’s first musical with Encore, and is very excited to start his participation is theater. He is a Senior at Morristown East High School and a member of the Band. “I would like to thank the Production Team for allowing me to be a part of this fantastic family”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hannah Grace Wallen (Munchkin, Poppy, Jitterbug, Emerald City Ensemble) - Hannah Grace has been onstage since the age of 7, her favorite role being that of bad girl Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray, Jr. over the summer. She is thrilled to be on the inaugural Encore Junior Company. When not onstage you can find her at the Dance Studio. She enjoys taking Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Jazz and Ballet Classes at Dance Elite and being a member of the Elite Dance Competition Team. She would like to thank her family, friends and her boyfriend Brant for encouragement and always believing in her! She hopes you enjoy the show!

 

 

 

 

Beashauna Whitman (Winkie, Emerald City Ensemble) - Beashauna is grateful to be in another Encore production.  Last season Whitman performed in Encore’s production of The Best Man. Beashauna studied acting at AMTC (Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ). Whitman has done several local commercials, and if you are a big UT fan like she is, then you will see her in the Rocky Top commercial which is aired on television every football and basketball game. GO VOLS!!! She was also an extra in the film Dog Years’ and she played a neighbor on the television crime show Fatal Attraction. Whitman gives all the glory to God, because without him nothing is possible. Living The Blessed Life

 

 

Production Team

Caitlin Arrington (Make-Up Artist) – Caitlin is excited to be back with her Encore family. In January 2017, she moved to Los Angeles, California to attend Make-Up Designory where she graduated from the Master Make-Up Artistry Program as a certified professional special effects make-up artist for film and television. Caitlin’s Credits include: Key Make-up Artist for First Light Production Company’s film, A Toast, Encore’s Mary Poppins, James and the Giant Peach Jr., Lion King Jr., and Aladdin Jr., WSCC’s Moon over Buffalo and Night of the Living Dead, and Morristown Theatre Guild’s Something Wicked This Way Comes.

 

 

 

 

Debbie Bennett (Costume Supervisor) - Debbie has over 30 years’ experience as a costume designer.  She has previously been involved with productions of Les Mes, Aladdin, Lion King, Spamalot, Mary Poppins, Into the Woods and many more.   It is an honor for her to have been part of these productions, and looks forward to costuming The Wizard of Oz and many future productions.   Thank you Encore Theatrical for letting me part of this wonderful company.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Colton Berg (Sound Operator) - Colton would like to thank Walters State and Encore for the opportunity to work with such wonderful people.  A new arrival to Tennessee, Colton's first show was Walter State's Grease followed by Encore's Ragtime and Rocky Horror Show, as well as assisting on Encore's Hairspray and Jonesborough Repertory Theater's Beauty and the Beast.  He hopes everyone enjoys the show!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

Heidi Booker (Props Mistress) - For the past 20 years Heidi has worked in various aspects of theatre and event production and is a founding company member of Encore Theatrical Company.  On stage she has played Sawyer (Miracle on 34th Street),  Mrs. Webb (Our Town), Babe (Crimes of the Heart), Claire (Proof), and Lab Assistant for Nickelodeon’s Big Helpers in Action.  She has been seen in local and regional commercials, industrial videos, and print ads.  Her technical credits include Props Master (Clarence-Brown Theatre), Lighting Technician (Dollywood), and Nickelodeon Event/Tour Manager (Oasis Productions).  Heidi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Drama and a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from Carson-Newman.  She currently teaches in Jefferson County.

 

Micah-Shane Brewer (Director)- Micah-Shane began his journey into the merry old land of theatre at the age of 14 as the Scarecrow, and with this production, he is happy to journey back to oz, completing his final show as Artistic Director of Encore.  As Founding Artistic Director, Encore directing credits include:  Peter Pan, Cats, Grandma Sylvia’s Funeral, Annie, Aida, Seussical, Inherit the Wind, The Sound of Music, The Producers, Big, Our Town, The Music Man, Chicago, White Christmas, The Full Monty, Noises Off, Hairspray, Sunday in the Park with George, Singin’ in the Rain, 9 to 5, Les Miserables, Into the Woods, The Lion King Jr., Cabaret, One Man Two Guvnors, Spamalot, Follies, Rock of Ages, Mary Poppins, The City of Conversation, The Bridges of Madison County, and Ragtime.  Favorite onstage moments with Encore include Time Stands Still, Doubt, Sunday in the Park with George, The Full Monty, Three Days of Rain, 1940s Radio Hour, and Lend Me a Tenor.  Micah-Shane is grateful to the many friends and artists he’s worked with along the way and thankful for the support shown by the community to Encore during the first 11 years.  He is truly proud of each and every person involved with Encore, and looks forward to seeing the future growth of this beloved company.  “And remember, a heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others."

 

Susan Christophel (Assistant Stage Manager) - Susan was last seen as multiple characters in Ragtime: The Musical.  She has been involved with Encore since its inception and is delighted to work with Micah-Shane, Mary, and the wonderful cast & crew of Wizard of Oz.

 

 

 

 

Melanie Coffey (Assistant Stage Manager) - Melanie is thrilled to be working on her first Encore Production.  She has always loved the theater, so getting to work with the talented cast of the Wizard of Oz is a dream come true!  Melanie is an 8th grade science teacher at Lincoln Heights Middle School, and loves spending time with her husband, Ron, and her two sons, Dylan and Drew.  Melanie would like to thank Mary Wallen for the encouragement to become a small part of this wonderful show!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Laura Ritter (Music Director) - Laura Ritter is the Assistant Dean of Humanities at Walters State and also directs the Concert Choir, Women's Ensemble, and Sensations Chamber Ensemble.  She is pleased to be working on another fine collaboration between Walters State and Encore and is thankful for the opportunities both groups bring to students and community members of the Lakeway area.  "Theatre doesn't last. James Templin (Choreographer) - James is a company member with Encore and is excited to choreograph his first main stage show. This past summer, he choreographed the Young Stars show, Hairspray Jr. with other choreography credits including Seussical: The Musical, Jr. (ETC), Romance/Romance (WSCC), and The Nutcracker (DDT). James is the head cook at Jersey Girl Diner and Little City Catering, and he also teaches stage tap at Dance Elite. He would like to thank the cast for their hard work, fellow production team members for their passion, Matt, Jethro, and Perth for their understanding of late nights.

 

 

 

 

 

Mary Wallen (Stage Manager) - Mary is an Encore Company Member and a part of their Education Committee. Outside of the theatre she is a RN at MHHS where she works in the Quality Department. She is Mom to Daniel and Hannah Grace. She has enjoyed leading this talented cast. They have worked so hard! She hopes you enjoy the show with your friends and family! Kim Wilaniskis (Assistant Stage Manager) - Kim is thrilled to be involved in another Encore Theatrical production and working with another talented cast and crew.  She last served as stage manager for The Rocky Horror Show.  She assisted stage manage Ragtime and Bridges of Madison County.  Other productions she has worked in include; Hairspray Jr., Mary Poppins, City of Conversations, The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid.  Kim loves being involved in theater and is grateful to ETC for the opportunity to do so.  She hopes everyone enjoys the show!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Frank Williams (Set Construction Manager) - Frank is a Founding Company Member of Encore and 2009 Inductee into the Encore Hall of Fame.  He has appeared on stage in ten Encore Main Stage productions and has directed nine.   Frank serves as set builder for all of Encore’s Main Stage and Young Stars Productions.   He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.  Frank and his wife Debra have four dogs, Bernadette, Charlie, Mason and Hamilton

Rachel Bass - Rachel Bass is so excited to be a part of this production! Normally, she’s on the stage, as a member of the Junior Company, but this time she decided to try out her sea legs, and by sea legs, she means backstage legs! Enjoy the show!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Byron Booker - Byron is pleased to join the fly crew for Encore’s Wizard of Oz. His favorite backstage credits include "load in" with his pals Russ and Frank, prop shopping 24/7 with his wife Heidi, and helping his "favorite" young star Parker in any way she needs him. Byron made his stage debut earlier this year as an ensemble member in Encore’s Ragtime. Byron extends his thanks to the Encore family for introducing him to the crazy world of theatre. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Andrew Coffey - Andrew is excited for the opportunity to work on his first Encore Production. He is a senior at Morristown Hamblen East High School. Andrew is activity involved in Advanced Choir, and is also a member of the All East Honors Choir. He plays multiple instruments and enjoys music of all genres.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Carol Collins - Carol is pleased to be part of the crew for this fantastic musical.  She helped backstage with Ragtime and many other productions either building and painting sets or working with costumes. You may remember Carol on stage as the tour guide in "Middletown" and one of the tap dancers in "Follies".  She moved here from Michigan in 1980 where she was an Art Major at Western Michigan University.  She loves the arts and theatre and is happy to help wherever Encore needs her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hunter Eden - Hunter Eden is extremely excited to be working crew in Encore's The Wizard of Oz!  Hunter has worked crew for Encore's Mary Poppins! He was last seen onstage as Eugene in Walter State's production of Grease. Hunter is also Band Captain of the Morristown East High School Band where he plays French horn, Mellophone, and guitar.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jackson Hutchins – Jackson is an Eagle Scout and former graduate from Morristown West High School. He is currently attending Walter state as a freshmen with the major of mechanical engineering and is currently planning to transfer after two years. While he has seen many, this is the first Encore Theatre performance he has been involved with and is excited to help the cast preform!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Michael Malone - Michael is excited to once again join Kim, his partner in crime, backstage to assist in this wonderful musical. He was most recently seen as Brad in The Rocky Horror Show, and prior to wearing fishnets and heels he served as assistant stage manager for Ragtime (He’s glad there isn’t a Model T in Oz!). Being in Encore shows both onstage and backstage over the past few years has been an amazing opportunity that he is truly grateful for!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Angela Minnick - Angela is happy to be back home with her theatre family after a short break to have and take care of her sweet baby boy. Special thanks to her husband Ryan for his encouragement to get back in it and to all of Nathaniel’s grandparents for readily providing childcare.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Josh Smith – Although he is usually seen onstage, Josh is very excited to be working behind the scenes on this production! Aside for performing, he participates in the Encore Junior Company Program. He is a Senior at Morristown West High School. He hopes you enjoy the show!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kim Smith – Kim is excited to be working back stage for this wonderful production. She was last behind the scenes of Rocky Horror, and has worked with Ragtime, Spamalot, Mary Poppins and Bridges of Madison County with the backstage crew. Troy Wallen - Troy was last seen on Encore’s stage as an Ensemble cast member in Ragtime. This is his 16th company production with Encore, but this time he is pleased to take part in a backstage role. He feels very strongly about being involved with Community Theatre and having the youth involved in the Arts. Troy is thankful to be a part of this production and have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful cast and production team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chris Wylie – Chris has been active in theatre for over 30 years. He has designed lights and sound for the Morristown Theatre Guild and Theatre Knoxville Downtown. His first Encore production was Mary Poppins in 2016, in which he performed and also was part of the fly crew. He extends his thanks to Micah-Shane and the Oz cast and crew and hopes you enjoy this magical production!
