Micah-Shane Brewer

Artistic Director

Micah-Shane is the Artistic Director of Encore Theatrical Company.  He received his MFA in Acting from the University of Tennessee, and dual Bachelors in Drama and Music at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.   With over 75 directing credits, he has directed and produced a number of Encore shows, including Les Miserables, One Man Two Guvnors, Into the Woods, Cabaret, Hairspray, Noises Off, White Christmas, Inherit the Wind, The Sound of Music, and many more.  Other directing credits include A Christmas Carol, Company, Absurd Person Singular, Assassins, The Laramie Project, and Proof, to name a few.  Encore acting credits include Sunday in the Park with George (George), The Full  Monty (Malcolm), Cats (Munkustrap), Our Town (Stage Manager), and Three Days of Rain (Walker/Ned). While at the University of Tennessee, Micah-Shane was seen in Clarence Brown Theatre productions like  Monty Python's Spamalot (Sir Robin), A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit), Sweeney Todd (Tobias), Our Country’s Good, On The Razzle, Kiss Me, Kate, It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, and The Trip to Bountiful.  New York credits include The Music Man with the Transport Group.  Micah-Shane has produced concerts with artists like Sutton Foster, Donna McKechnie, Stephanie J. Block, Liz Callaway, Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley.  He also serves as an adjunct instructor and coaches private students.  He has written for "The Sondheim Review" and is a member of the Actors' Equity Association.
