HOW THE JUNIOR COMPANY WORKS:
Once our Junior Company team is selected, our group of students will participate in the following:
HANDS-ON LEARNING: Each student will be given a specific area of production that they will focus on for each show in the Encore season. Preference will be given to those students who have a desire for a specific area of interest. (Scenery, Costumes, Lighting/Electrics, Sound, Directing, Stage Managing, Marketing, etc). Members will switch for each show so they can learn and gain experience in all of the production elements.
COMPANY AND AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT: Our Junior Company will take part within the planning and development of the company’s mission and work. Junior Company members will see the process of working on special events, strategic development, and audience engagement. Our Junior Company will be present at performances and engage with our patrons and audiences.
LEARNING AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES: Junior Company will have workshops, intensives and educational opportunities that focus on the performing arts. From acting and voice classes to audition technique and more, our Junior Company members will have the opportunity to grow their talents and knowledge of the theatre. In addition, the Junior Company will work on their very own collaborative performance project.
E.T.C. Junior Company members will have the benefits of attending every Encore production throughout the year at no charge and additional complimentary passes for friends and family. In addition, the junior company will have the opportunity to participate in a yearly theatre trip! Also, Junior Company members are able to apply for the Encore Theatrical Company Scholarship given to students pursuing a career in the performing arts.
