Behind the Scenes

Here's your opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes with Encore Theatrical Company.  A six-week intensive overview of the basics of stagecraft--from building sets to running the light board.  If working backstage has been a little intimidating, here's a chance to get more familiar with how things work "in the wings."  And the best thing--these classes are free of charge and you only attend the classes you want.  Click the "Registration" button to email us to sign up.

May 10 Week 1 - Basics of power tools and safety.

May 17 Week 2 - Simple construction of flats and platforms.

          Instructors: Rus Mattocks, Tim Roche and Eric Bullard

May 24 Week 3 - Sound and Sewing - Operation of the program for sound cues? & Basics of using a sewing machine.

May 31 - Memorial Day
June 7 Week 4 - Stage Management - Basics focusing on conduct of rehearsals and keeping a prompt book.

June 14 Week 5 - Lighting equipment, hang, focus and simple practical wiring.

June 21 Week 6 - Lighting Board programming and operation.
