Kathy Jones-Terry

Hester Ferris

A founder of Encore Theatrical Company, as well as a member of both the Company and Board of Trustees, Kathy has been involved in local theatre for over 35 years. Most recently, she has appeared in the Ensemble for Les Miserables, as Miss Hannigan in Annie, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, a Merry Murderess and ensemble dancer in Chicago, M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias, Dinah in The Dixie Swim Club, Violet in 9 to 5, and Barbara in August: Osage County.  She has also served as Stage Manager for Shrek, Inherit the Wind, Plaid Tidings and Into the Woods. Kathy has also worked backstage and behind-the-scenes for many shows, and directed the recent hit Love, Loss and What I Wore. Kathy was the 2013 inductee into Encore’s Hall of Fame, an honor which makes her very proud. In her real life, Kathy is Mom to 20-year-old Jake, wife of John Litz, and Clerk & Master for Hamblen County.

Cindi Sedlack Husk

Jean Swift

“Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose"—"the more it changes, the more it's the same thing", (Les Guêpes, January 1849).  The City of Conversation spans from 1979 to 2009 and Cindi believes you will find that not much has changed in politics through the years. Cindi is so proud to be playing the role of Jean, and is also so proud to serve on the company for Encore. She is usually working in the background hosting opening night receptions, helping with sets, or filling in on lights, etc. The last Encore production that she was cast in was Love, Loss, and What I Wore, directed by Kathy Jones-Terry Litz. Some other past credits include: A Piece of My Heart, On Golden Pond, Rumors, and A Christmas Carol, to name a few. Her gratitude goes to Micah Shane Brewer for casting her and for his superb direction! She has loved working with this amazing cast and crew.  She hopes you will enjoy this drama as much as she has enjoyed preparing for this production and think about this drama as the Presidential Inauguration approaches…

Alex Davis

Colin Ferris / Ethan Ferris

Alex is happy to appear in his second Encore show with The City of Conversation. He was previously seen as Kevin in Encore’s Follies. He has appeared in past productions with Carson-Newman’s theatre department, in addition to competing with Carson-Newman’s forensics team. Alex has enjoyed working with his wife during this production and would like to thank Micah-Shane for giving him the opportunity to be a part of this show.

Lindsey Davis

Anna Fitzgerald

The City of Conversation is Lindsey’s 11th Encore production and she is excited to help bring this very important show to life. Lindsey has been seen most recently as Waitress #1 in Rock of Ages and Young Phyllis in Follies. When not in rehearsal, Lindsey teaches Social Sciences at Morristown East High where she sponsors the Psychology Club and co-coaches the school dance team. Sharing the stage with her husband, Alex, has been an awesome part of this experience, and Lindsey would like to thank Micah-Shane for allowing her this opportunity.

Eric Bullard

Chandler Harris

Eric is not really a Virginian Senator. After a lifetime of theater with several companies, Eric’s favorite parts have been playing the Forman/Montparnasse in Les Miserables, El Gallo in The Fantastics, Roger in Noises Off, three runs of The Sound of Music (Kurt, Fredrick, Rolph),  Clown in The 39 Steps, the Black Knight in Spamalot (It was just a flesh wound), and he has a clear recollection of his first performance at age 4 as part of the horde of the king’s children in The King and I. Eric owns Bullard Insurance Group in downtown Morristown, and spends his spare time woodworking, camping as much as possible, attending Scottish Highland games and keeping up with his wife Kimberly and their 4 kids.

Larry Bunton

George Mallonee

Larry last appeared on the ETC stage in the dysfunctional family drama August:Osage County. He has performed in Noises Off at Jonesborough Repertory Theatre, How The Other Half Loves at Johnson City Community Theatre and most recently in Glasgow Theatre Company's production of The Normal Heart.

Linda High

Carolyn Mallonee

Linda is intrigued to perform in a play based on events she actually remembers. She has appeared as the pill-popping, catfish-flinging matriarch, Violet, in August:Osage County,  and as the equally formidable but less foul-mouthed Sister Aloysius in Doubt.  In a complete change of pace, she played the Bird Woman in Mary Poppins.

Ben Bean

Donald Logan

Ben is thrilled to be back with Encore! You may remember him from his last performance with Encore in Shrek the Musical (Donkey). Ben recently received his MA from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in London, England. He also received his BA in Theatre from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Some favorite past credits include: Sylum (Marassa, RBC), The Winters Tale (Polixenes, RBC), Gertrude: The Cry (Hamlet, RBC), A Midsummer Nights Dream (Fairy, CBT), and Les Miserables (Joly, Encore). Ben would like to thank his family for their undying support, his friends and cast for their constant encouragement, and Micah-Shane for allowing him to be in yet another wonderful production with Encore! Enjoy the show!

Joey Stibler

Ethan Ferris (age 6)

Joey is excited to make both his Encore and acting debut! A true Renaissance man, Joey is an excellent second grade student at West Elementary and excels in triathlons, competitive swimming, soccer, and basketball. He sings in the Lakeway Children's Choir, plays piano, and is learning banjo. He loves paddleboarding and surfing in Hawai'i, hiking, and rock climbing. His favorite food is crab. He loves to travel and has visited 8 countries so far. Most of all he loves his sister Emma-Kate and brother Kirk.
